An Overview
Dr. James Oschman Interview

DA is a 43 year old woman with asthma. She was first seen by the ONDAMED® practitioner in January 2006. She had had severe asthma since puberty. She needed to use her inhaler at least twice a day to manage the condition. She had also been on and off predninsone (a steroid) over the course of 7 years whenever her condition became worse.

The practitioner noted at the time of her visit that she did not look well. Her complexion was sallow and pale and she had dark circles under her eyes. She also had the appearance of being bloated (most probably from taking the prednisone).  She complained of fatigue.

DA received one treatment per week for a total of 7 treatments. Interestingly, during some of the ONDAMED® sessions, she would feel as if she was on the verge of an asthma attack only for the feeling to again dissipate. One week after the 7th session DA told the practitioner that she had not had an asthma attack the whole week. That had not happened since her puberty! She had also said that the allergist she had seen was planning to put her back on predninsone because prior to receiving ONDAMED® treatment her condition had been getting worse. When she however had a follow-up visit with the allergist, he was surprised at how well she was doing and did not give the prescription for prednisone or anything else. Her energy improved dramatically with each session.

After the 7th treatment, DA saw the ONDAMED® practitioner one month later in March 2006 for an ONDAMED® treatment. She looked absolutely terrific. In her own words “she felt like a different person”. She had not used the inhaler for 5 whole weeks. Her energy was so much better that she was able to go back to work as a full time nurse. Prior to her ONDAMED® treatment she had only been able to work as a home aid nurse because her energy level was so poor.

She did not receive an ONDAMED® treatment again for another 3 months. She returned to the practitioner in June 2007 for a tune-up treatment, having not used the inhaler now for months. She has not since had a recurrence of her asthma.

PA is a 2 1/2 year-old boy who was referred to the ONDAMED® practitioner with a diagnosis of autism since 8 months. He started ONDAMED® sessions in January 2006 and received one treatment per week.

The practitioner could treat him for 20 minutes at best each time because he wouldn't sit still nor would he let her touch him. She therefore had to rely on the pre-set programmes rather than the patient-specific ones since she couldn't take his pulse.

PA wouldn't interact with any one; he wouldn't have any conversation and had very poor vocabulary. He was unable to sleep through the night.

Shortly after the 5th treatment his father, in a highly emotional state, came back with PA to see the practitioner. The practitioner was unable initially to determine whether it was anger or joy that moved him! He sat down and explained that his son would previously never go out unless he was in his stroller with its umbrella set blocking a part of his vision; it was the only way he felt secure outside. They had however been able to go for a walk in the park and out to lunch for the first time in this child's entire life! Normally, if they tried to take him to a restaurant he would scream and be very loud and they really couldn't keep him under control. So they had never been quite able to enjoy his company whenever it came to anything of a social nature.

They continued to receive ONDAMED® treatment once a week from January to June 2006 at which time they took a break for the summer, to resume treatment in September once every 2 weeks thereon.

PA became able to sleep through the entire night and he developed a more positive attitude, his speech and vocabulary improved and as at February 2006 there was all-round noticeable improvement. His end of year progress report from school in June 2007 showed 50% improvement in vocabulary and reading, and he was finally able to have small conversation with teachers, parents and others where he was unable to do so before. He now since June 2007 allows the ONDAMED® practitioner to touch him and feel his pulse so she is able to do more patient-specific protocols.

PA did not take any medication for autism though he had been following a gluten and dairy-free diet routine for a long time. He continues to improve with ONDAMED® and in the words of his parents and teachers "PA's personality is now finally coming out". He never got any DMSA for taking out mercury or indeed any other such detoxification treatment. The belief is that in view of his steady progress, he must have detoxified in the course of the ONDAMED® sessions.

Cancer (Breast )

VP is a 37-year old woman diagnosed with stage II Estrogen and Progesterone breast cancer on June 19th, 2007. Shortly after the diagnosis she received a left breast mastectomy (removal) and breast reconstruction. Twenty lymph nodes were removed and 2 were positive for cancer. She was prescribed Percoset to manage the pain from the surgery. She slipped into depression thereafter.

She had a lot of pain in her breast and also in the 19 inch incision that was in her abdomen where fat was removed for the breast reconstruction. In July 2007, VP started her chemotherapy treatment. It was recommended that she received Adriamycin plus Cytoxan every other week (4 treatments) followed by Taxol every other week for 4 treatments.

After her first round of chemotherapy VP was so fatigued she could barely make it to the office. She then decided on ONDAMED® treatment, just hoping that it would, at least, help lift her depression. She was still experiencing a lot of pain from the breast surgery and abdominal incision and still needed to take Percoset.

That first day of ONDAMED®, by the time she left the practitioner's office she had no more pain in her breast. Two hours later the pain in her incision had completely subsided. She simply could not believe it because she had gone in for her listlessness and depression, and had not thought that it would help the pain much.

Even then, she thought the pain would later recur, but to date VP remains pain free. The ONDAMED® treatment also made her tolerate the chemotherapy better. It helped her energy level so that she did not have to be bed ridden and could do her chores. She continues ONDAMED® treatment twice per week and makes sure she gets it immediately after receiving chemotherapy. VP also noticed that she no longer experienced depression after the 2nd to 3rd treatment and that she felt happier. She also reported that if she felt a sinus problem or cold coming on, by the end of the ONDAMED® treatment it would have subsided.

Lyme Disease

MI is a 30-year old male diagnosed with Lyme Disease in April 2000. He was thought to have been bitten by a tick in 1998. He never developed a rash but over time he slowly developed multiple sclerosis-like symptoms which included numbness to the extremities, fatigue, difficulty walking, neuropathy and memory loss. He also suddenly developed dyslexia (difficulty with writing) and had also headaches, athralgia, muscle atrophy and spinal pain.

The symptoms became so debilitating that he saw several physicians and had diagnoses ranging from multiple sclerosis through Lou Gehrig's disease to clinical depression but all along he steadily grew worse. He saw a Lyme disease specialist who confirmed through laboratory analysis that he was not only positive for Lyme but also for Ehrlichia (which can be a co-infection).

Over the course of three years he received the usual course of treatment: intravenous antibiotics which included Rocephin, Merrem, Zithromax, Plaquenil, Claforan, Amoxycillin, Doxycillin as well as supportive nutritional supplements and 150 hyperbaric oxygen treatments.

He experienced a gradual improvement and recovered about 60% of his functions but his symptoms always quickly returned whenever he went off the drugs. He knew he could not stay on antibiotics for the rest of his life nor did he want to.

In 2003, the physician he was seeing was trained with ONDAMED® and he started MI on one treatment a week of it. Within 2 months, his health improved to 90%. His improvement was so significant that he bought his own machine and started to treat himself 2 to 3 times a week. He also stopped the antibiotic treatments shortly after commencing the ONDAMED® sessions and for the first time he was able to have lasting results without them. He used patient-specific and pre-set modules for 1 year after which he decreased the sessions to 1 to 2 times per week.

His MS symptoms of numbness and neuropathy are completely gone and he is able to walk and exercise normally. His memory significantly improved and his headaches and dyslexia went away. Athralgia, muscle atrophy and spinal pain all resolved as he became symptoms-free. MI now works full-time, travels extensively and lives a full and active life. Remarkably, he has gone on to become one of the head ONDAMED® trainers! In his own words ".....God knows where I'll be today if my doctor hadn't had ONDAMED®".

Lyme Disease

MB is a 49-year old female diagnosed with Lyme Disease and co-infections with Babesia and Bartonella in October, 1991. Her symptoms rapidly progressed from fatigue to multiple sclerosis (MS)-like symptoms such as numbness and tingling in the extremities. In January, 1992 she received intravenous (IV) Rocephin for 3 months after which time she was hospitalized for three and one half weeks for severely low white blood cell, neutrophil and platelet counts which developed as side effects of her drug treatment.

She was given a challenge test to see if there was another antibiotic regimen she could tolerate. She was then given Primaxin by IV administration for approximately five and one half months. She however then developed an infection with antibiotic-resistant bacteria (C. difficile) and had treatment with Questran commenced. She also developed dumping syndrome from the Primaxin she had been on.

Other drugs she had administered included IV (and suppository) Compasine for nausea, as well as Minocin, Biaxin and Amoxycillin on and off until approximately June 1994. She often had to stop treatment due to the side effects of a very low white blood count.

Despite the massive antibiotic treatment, her symptoms did not improve. She would get a little better for a short time only for them to return with additional ones which included pain in both knees, pain in the left hip and debilitating neuropathy. Finally, her doctors told her there was nothing more they could do for her.

She sought the advice of a well-know practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) and had a protocol of Chinese herbs and acupuncture instituted for one year from 1997-1998. She however continued to have symptoms on and off without any consistent relief. In 1999, she saw a Lyme disease specialist who added Biaxin to her treatment and told her to go back on the TCM. She carried on the treatments concurrently for two and one half years but without much respite and with her symptoms still waxing and waning.

In 2003, she took Medpron and Zithromax, and for the first time in a long she felt very good. Unfortunately, she suddenly developed dermographism (a form of hives) as a side effect and so had to stop the treatment immediately.

MB became very depressed and hopeless since it now appeared she had exhausted all avenues of treatment. Being the resourceful person that she is, she found information that suggested that Cat’s Claw may be helpful for her condition and started to take it in 2004. She also bought a Rife Machine (ENEM 5) hoping that it would alleviate her pain and disability. She used it for one and one half years without any relief of her symptoms and each time she used it, she experienced a severe Herxheimer reaction. She also had added to her protocol Artemesin because it was supposed to have activity against her infections. However, this was to no avail even though she persisted with it.

By this time, MB’s symptoms had become very severe and in her own words she “no longer felt human”. Her quality of life had very seriously deteriorated and she progressively developed more and more symptoms in spite of continuing treatment.

In February 2007, MB found information about ONDAMED® and decided to try it as her last resort. After several sessions she felt well for the first time in years. The MS-like symptoms, numbness and tingling of the extremities, recurrent paraesthesia, shortness of breath, chest compression sensation, dyspnoea and joint pains all completely disappeared. By June 2007 MB was having ONDAMED® treatment at least two times each week and had become happy, healthy and able to feel like a human being again. In her own words, “You just can’t imagine how great I feel. I had completely given up hope. ONDAMED® gave me back my life.”

Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

LS is a 53-year old woman who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1997. Her brain scan revealed 16 lesions. She had a previous scan in 1991 when her symptoms became severe which was probably misread because she was told it was normal but the specialist who performed the second brain scan was alarmed that it could have been misread because there was evidence of brain lesions at that time!

The physician prescribed weekly injections of Avanex which is the drug that is commonly used. Her symptoms included extreme dizziness affecting her balance, bouts of paraesthesia, inability to urinate and loss of bladder control. She was often in the emergency room and was hospitalised many times over the years when her symptoms became severe. During one hospitalisation in 1993, she had to be catheterised in order to be able to urinate for 5 weeks.

In 2000, she had a severe relapse. She experienced extreme exhaustion and had difficulty even stepping up a kerb. She progressed to the point where she could barely walk and had to be hospitalised for a month during which she was, for a time, actually paralysed. She received Mitozantron and although she got better she remained unwell.

She was told she had borderline progressive MS (multiple sclerosis) and that she would experience a deterioration of her condition over time. She had used a wheel chair whilst in hospital but was able to use the walker by the time she was discharged because she had improved somewhat. She was told to make her home wheel-chair-accessible. She was the executive director for the mental health association and could no longer continue her duties. She also experienced cot-visit dysfunction after this relapse and had difficulty swallowing.

In addition to Avanex, she was given intravenous immunoglobulin therapy between 2001 and 2003. By 2003 she was taking as much as 3,200mg per day of Neurontin (the maximum dose prescribeable) because she was experiencing severe painful neuropathy. She was still being hospitalised at least once a year and nothing she was doing was slowing down the progression of her condition. She was no longer able to work and her marriage became stressful. She needed to walk with a cane.

In March 2005, she started receiving ONDAMED® treatment. She felt nothing immediately after the first treatment but that evening she, in her own exact words "felt an enormous psychological the jig saw puzzle that had been missing was finally put in place". She continued ONDAMED® treatment once a week and progressively improved.

In January 2006, she purchased her own ONDAMED® machine and immediately started using it on herself 3 times a week. Her energy, cognitive functions and sense of well-being significantly improved. She was now able to run up the stairs in her home as her neuropathy improved. Later, she cut down her Neurontin dose to 100mg per day, no longer had neuropathy, slept better and her mobility completely normalised, enabling her to not only dispense with her cane but also to exercise.

As at September 2007, LS had stopped all the drugs apart from Avanex that she had been on for years. They included Provigil for extreme fatigue since 1998, Labetalol for hypertension and Verapamil for oesophageal spasms since 2000 and of course Neurontin, 3,200mg per day of which she took before she started ONDAMED® treatment.

Her physicians remain mystified at her progress because "this was not the way this was supposed to go according to her diagnosis"!

OS is a 49-year old chiropractor who had an acute pain in his left wrist in 2004. He had over worked it doing a lot of adjustments in his busy practice. The pain was so severe he had to stop practicing for 3 months and he hoped that with rest, ice and ultra sound it would get better. But it didn’t. And he actually was preparing to sell his practice because he had so much pain he wasn’t able to do adjustments anymore.

In July 2004, he received one ONDAMED® treatment and the protocol was going to be once a week until the pain went away. They expected to carry this on for a couple of months. He woke up the next morning and found the pain was completely gone. He immediately went back to work and has not experienced any pain in the wrist since that one treatment.

OS told his friend AD, also a 49-year old and a conventional medicine physician who specialises in adolescent medicine about his experience with ONDAMED®. AD did not believe him and actually thought he could not possibly be serious. “Common!” he said, “One treatment and your pain went away?...Please…!!!”. He however booked an appointment and visited the ONDAMED® practitioner.

AD gave the practitioner a hard time! He refused to give any information saying: “Listen, I don’t believe in this energy medicine stuff. I need to see it with my own eyes. There’s only one thing wrong with me. Alright, you go find it”.

He was speechless when, after he was scanned, the machine revealed problems in the right and left upper jaws and in the left knee. He said he had completely forgotten that he had had wisdom teeth removed from his right and left upper jaws 2 weeks earlier and the one thing he had gone in thinking about was the left knee that had been such a big headache.

He had had a left torn medial meniscus for ten years that was catching up with him. The pain was excruciating and he had done everything possible to avoid surgery. He is a physician and you name it, he had done it – just to avoid surgery. But the pain had become unmanageable and finally, he had had to have surgery scheduled.

He received ONDAMED® treatment to his left knee and was scheduled for one session each week. By the second treatment, he experienced noticeably less pain. After the fourth treatment, the pain was completely gone. He cancelled the surgery.

We know that he had bone rubbing on bone with the torn medial meniscus and he was convinced that the ONDAMED® therapy he had received must have regenerated cartilage. He remains pain free till today.

 Pain (Muscular)

MM is a 36 year old woman who was, in May 2006, experiencing severe right and left calf muscle pains after a night out running. She herself explained that the injury was most probably due to the fact that she did not warm up enough before her session and must have pulled muscles in both legs to the point of hardly being able to walk.

Immediately after receiving one ONDAMED® treatment the day after the injury, MM was 50% better and able to walk again. Within one hour of this single treatment she was completely pain free. The issue has not recurred since then.

VF's story is no less dramatic. You can get it from the horse's mouth here!

Plantar Fasciitis

KK is a 57-year old woman diagnosed in January 2007 with Plantar Fasciitis, an extremely painful condition of the foot for which practically nothing works. She had taken a trip to Europe for 5 weeks in which she did a lot of walking that had exacerbated the pain. KK weighs 5 stone 255 Ibs and so had all this weight to bear on her foot, making it so painful that she could barely walk.

She tried anti-inflammatory drugs and became so constipated she couldn’t sleep. She used Ultra sound and ice, and although it helped somewhat, she still had so much difficulty walking. She eliminated a number of items (night shakes for one) from her diet, following advice from some dietary book called ‘Stop Inflammation Now’; and although the pain and inflammation were reduced to some extent, it was not to any remarkable degree.

On account of the persistent pain, KK became depressed because nothing seemed to be able to help her.

She took a first ONDAMED® treatment in February, 2007, getting one session per week. After the first three treatments, her attitude changed. Her depression lifted, she had more energy and her pain was noticeably less. In March, she stepped up the treatment to 4 treatments in 10 days (about 2 per week) and by the 4th treatment, she was able to hobble up the stairs to her practitioner’s office. After the 4th treatment, she could walk normally for the first time since her condition started, her pain being significantly less.

She had so much success with the machine that she bought her own and started to treat herself diligently twice a week with it. KK is now able to walk normally and to exercise without the debilitating pain she had before. She lives a full and active was completely pain free. The issue has not recurred since then.

Trigeminal Neuralgia

RL was in her late thirties when she experienced her first blast of trigeminal neuralgia pain. Years of unending pain followed. Then, in May of 2005, she learned of ONDAMED®. She purchased a machine in late August, was trained, and has been treating herself 2 - 3 times per week since. Today, she is pain-free, tapering off her medications, and has boundless energy.

"ONDAMED® makes so much sense," she says. "We know scientifically that the origin of everything in our physical world is electromagnetic energy. Our bodies are also sourced by electromagnetic energy; energy becomes disharmonious before physical symptoms manifest. We measure bodily energy fields with respect to EKGs and EEGs. ONDAMED® is a therapeutic Biofeedback device that works with more subtle energy in our bodies.

"Traditional medical treatments are generally focused on treating the physical result, the symptom, not the energy imbalances themselves. ONDAMED®, like acupuncture, realigns the electromagnetic energy but this System has the advantage of not requiring needle sticks. This is particularly important for a person with TN as the slightest stimulus can trigger excruciating pain for the individual".

Paralyzed Dog

An ONDAMED® practitioner was called out to see a dog that had gone lame and paralyzed, and had lost the use of its hind quarters. It had a lot of bone spurs probably due to 7 years' treatment with prednisone for a blood ailment.

The practitioner gave ONDAMED® treatment a total of 5 times, initially using anti-stress and pain programmes, followed by the neurological programs indicated by the device.

By the third treatment, the dog's swollen limbs were looking much better and it was now able to drag itself along the floor for short distances. With the aid of a harness to help it to its feet, it was able to take its first baby steps into the back yard.

By the 5th treatment, it no longer required any assistance getting up although still a little weak. It was able to go out to the yard for up to a 1/2 hour period, smelling around and upon return, to jump back on a low couch. Full recovery has since followed.

Sheep with Fly-Strike

An ONDAMED® practitioner was called out to see a sheep with fly-strike. This is a condition caused by flies depositing their eggs under the skin of a weakened animal followed by maggots practically eating the animal alive. This particular animal was collapsed and had stopped eating and drinking. The owner and breeder picked out maggots for three full hours, causing much pain and leaving the animal with open sores. She was treating for pain with banderol and a zinc paste to cover gapping wounds.

The practitioner found that the animal could not stand up and hung its head all the time. Its pulse could not be felt so she ran pre-set programmes for anti-stress and pain.

Once completed, she ran the 'joy of life' (Program 130). This was late morning. By 6 pm the animal was standing and pushing its hay around with its nose but it could only drink. By 9pm that day it was eating again.

The practitioner returned the next morning and took the animal's pulse. She ran the anti-stress and then the tissue regeneration programmes. The skin recovered well and in 1 1/2 weeks it looked great again, having healed very well. There was no need for the practitioner to return.

  [ Post Testimonials ]
For close to 10 years I have had trouble with my back. I had various tests and x rays done and had been told that I had scoliosis. I was also told that my pelvis was slightly tilted and that I had trapped nerves in the lower back. This resulted in various levels of constant pain, necessitating the regular use of pain killers (Dicloflex and Co-Dydramol) at such times as when the pain is at its worst. The doctors advised Valium at a point but I declined it, not wanting to take such strong drugs. I often preferred not to take any drugs at all, which meant having to live with the pain. I found this depressing and I experienced very low moods frequently. -------- In July 2008, my path led me to an Ondamed practitioner quite by accident really, because I had never heard of the treatment up until then. It was suggested that I tried it and, having nothing to lose (except hopefully my pain and mood swings), I decided to go for it. I had a first session on Tuesday 5th August and, not fully understanding the workings of the device as explained, I remained open to it, especially if it would mean me being pain free. I had, in any case, come to a dead end in trying to sort the problem so this was very welcome! -------- At my first session the machine was different from what I expected; I was a little nervous and fascinated by the play of numbers on the panel, the sounds from the device and all the while having my pulse monitored. I found that I could sense the various frequencies within me as a pulsating sensation just at the corner of my eyes. Also I felt a slight out of the body shifting feeling on and off. -------- By the end of the session I was surprised to find that I could hardly feel any pain, even though Iíd been seated for over an hour. Usually sitting for long periods of time would surely cause me stiffness and worsen the pain. I also felt energised and in a much lighter mood than I had experienced for a long time. I was left with 2 bottles of water into which had been input the same frequencies I had been treated with. This was necessary because it was not certain when (and if) my next session would take place since the practitioner lives in another part of the country from me. -------- A few days after my treatment I experienced a sudden kind of shift within me (while in animated conversation) like a double exposure on a photographic plate it was. I had not experienced such ever before and it struck me as being significant. This prompted me to do an impression (a drawing) of my ondamed treatment as I saw it within me (since I have some artistic talents). -------- Today (10 days after the session) I have only slight and occasional pains, nothing at all compared to what I have suffered for years now. I am much happier in my moods also and feel so much freer. To have back my freedom of movement without experiencing pain is wonderful; and after only one session of ondamed! Physically I know that something has happened within my body that has changed it much as I am free from the usual pains. Psychically the treatment has helped my moods also, I feel so much more balanced and at ease within my mind and thoughts. I have a second session now scheduled for a few daysí time. -------- ED, East Midlands
